Proteases in Inflammation and Infection

No life without proteases. Our DFG Research Training Group 2719 – PRO, a research consortium of 15 PhD candidates and their supervisors, places this class of enzymes at the centre of its activities. From this angle, it gains a fresh look at inflammation and infection. It is a great pleasure to invite you to our international symposium “Proteases in inflammation and infection”.

This interdisciplinary event addresses established experts and young scientists alike. The topics will cover state-of-the-art proteomic, genetic, biochemical, and bioengineering approaches to reveal the proteases’ substrate spectrum and distinguish physiological from pathological proteolysis. The symposium program combines keynote lectures, oral presentations by experts in the field and young investigators, and posters by PhD students. Informal get-togethers will facilitate the scientific exchange among the participants. Join us and establish new contacts and collaborations.
